We help farmers to profit from their yields

Farmers are often desperate to sell their crop at the time of harvest, to cover necessary expenses. At this time the prices are low and the buyers(wholesalers/retailers/businessmen) are taking advantage of this. The buyer stores the yield and sell when the prices are higher, leaving the farmer with no profit for themselves.

To maximize the profit for the farmers, our idea is that they leave the non-perishable crops with us, as collateral. They will then receive a loan equivalent to the value at the time.  We will also take a small fee for storing.

When the time comes we will either help the farmer to sell at a higher price and he/she can thereby clear the loan + fee and still make a profit on his crop - or, we buy at the higher price and sell it in for example bigger cities.

This idea is quite different from what other MFIs offer.
